The Seminar Topic "Cloud-based maintenance support system for forming machines" is motivated by the number of press frame breakages, and in order to improve maintenance in forming, a number of important parameters (frame stresses, bearing vibrations, guidance temperatures, technology parameters, energy…) are monitored and stored in a long-term data base for trend analysis and RUL (Remaining Useful Life) estimation. Virtual sensory, MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical System) and wireless sensory, a novel embedded Data Adquisition system and a platform-independent GUI (Graphical User Inerface) access to the eMaintenance cloud have been developed.

All aspects will be demonstrated in a live session on an 800t press machine.
