European Survey on the adoption of usage-oriented Business Models

T-REX is now making available to the public its first outcomes from an intensive European survey performed in the period from November 2013 to January 2014 that involved 95 companies across Germany, Italy, Spain and France, mainly focused on the domains of Machinery, Automation and Transportation.

This survey investigates the diffusion of new usage-oriented Business Models and the offering of services in the avobe-mentioned industries.

Descriptive analyses have been performed over the whole set of answers and respondents by the Supply Chain and Service Management (SCSM) research group of the University of Brescia in order to answer to these two questions:

  • How Business Models of companies that operate in capital goods sector (such as machine-tools, robot systems or forklift trucks) are configured?
  • Which are the main drivers / obstacles toward the implementation of new usage-oriented Business Models?

The main findings have been collected in the following presentation “T-REX Survey_company report.pdf”, which now has been given the public access to be downloaded from this website.
