ULMA trucks forklift revolutionizes its sector with it put underway of a new system for fleets management that improves its productivity and its security

After 3 years of work and study within the project European T-REX, coordinated by IK4-TEKNIKER, in September will see the light a new integrated system for fleets management. ULMA trucks forklift has worked all this time with others centers specialized, universities and companies of Finland, Germany, Italy, France and Spain to remove forward a new solution technology that allows monitor, remotelly, vital parameters to improve the use, maintenance and useful life of the forklift trucks. This system, unique in the market, helps the customers to optimize their productivity, to reduce their costs, increase the security at work and reduce the environmental impact.

Within the scope of the industry 4.0, maintenance has become a key factor for the improvement of business productivity. In fact, every time is more usual to adapt new technologies to production environments, enabling companies to become more competitive. With more than 30 years in the sector, Ulma forklifts was ahead of this need and envisioned, three years ago, how to make a fleet smarter thanks to a system capable of recording data of use and operation of forklift trucks, allowing the customer to better manage its fleet. A project that with the time has made reality and that, although still not have commercial name, is known in its phase of development as ULMA’s Fleet Manager.
